REMOTEThe University of Miami Health System, "UHealth", Information Technology Department has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Epic Senior Analyst, Lab Information Systems (Anatomic Pathology). The Epic Senior Analyst, Lab Information Systems (Anatomic Pathology) initiates the implementation, builds, and modifies complex applications, and collaborates with key stakeholders, end-users, and application team members to optimize the application’s configuration, function, and access. The incumbent supports junior staff members in day-to-day operations and resolving application issues.

Collaborates with key stakeholders, end-users, and application team members to optimize the application’s configuration, function, and access.

Serves as a primary support contact for application end‐users.

Initiates the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of the application.

Initiates all phases of testing and the documentation of workflow design.

Performs the analysis of information technology in clinical work processes and validates the impacts to the workflow.

Initiates the identification of issues and guides the work to resolve them.

Supports junior staff members in the evaluation and resolution of service tickets, identification and implementation of application changes, retrieval of requested data, and execution of day-to-day operations.

Collaborates with trainers on application changes and new features to develop documentation and training strategies.

Works with stakeholders, the business community, and end users to ensure the application meets UHealth's business/clinical needs.

Participates in on-call rotations and support and attend and participates in, applicable committees.

Maintains regular communication with team members, including participating in weekly project team meetings.

Reviews the status of projects and issues on an ongoing basis with leadership.

Remains knowledgeable about UHealth’s policies, procedures, and business operations.

Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

Adhere to internal controls and reporting structure

Participate in on-call rotations

Participate in rounding events for customers to better understanding workflows and issues

Attend and participate in applicable committees

Foster a positive, collaborative, and inclusive team environment

Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and excellence in service delivery.

Partner with all IT teams when developing streamlined services for customers including but not limited to incident, requests, and projects.

On occasion and depending on type of project, act as the project manager to help oversee tasks through to completion.

Bachelor’s degree in relevant field

Minimum of 3 years of experience, 5 years preferably in healthcare or healthcare-related organization

Epic Beaker Certification preferred

Previous operational, project management, and organizational skills

Familiarity with lab workflows, regulatory requirements, integration points with other Epic modules, and patient experiences preferred

Experience in anatomical pathology and lab practices preferred

Previous Epic Beaker, AP implementation experience and certification preferred

Previous experience in implementing digital pathology technologies (IMS) preferred

Microsoft Office Suite: Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, Excel

Problem Solving: Seeking, logically examining, and interpreting information from different sources to determine a problem's cause and developing a course of action to resolve the problem and to prevent its recurrence

Dependability: Ability and willingness to take ownership of work activities and ensure that they are completed in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner

Critical Thinking: Ability and willingness to see things in an open-minded way and examine an idea or concept from as many angles as possible

Stakeholder Management: Ability to work effectively with all levels of employees including senior leadership.
