Overview: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Structural Drafter to join our dynamic team. As a Structural Drafter, you will play a crucial role in transforming design concepts into detailed blueprints and technical drawings. Your ability to read plans thoroughly, operate CAD software proficiently, and understand structural concepts, especially in precast applications, will be essential. We are looking for an energetic, punctual, and focused individual who thrives in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate closely with architects and designers to interpret design concepts and develop detailed technical drawings using AutoCAD and Revit 3D.
Create Structural plans, elevations, sections, and detailed drawings for construction and permit applications.
Must be able to read and interpret plans thoroughly (A-Z), ensuring compliance with project requirements.
Develop 3D models and integrate structural concepts for precast applications into Structural designs.
Generate shop and production drawings for manufacturing and construction purposes.
Create cut section details and other technical drawings as needed.
Ensure all drawings adhere to company standards, building codes, and zoning regulations.
Revise drawings based on feedback from architects, engineers, and clients.
Maintain organized project files and documentation.
Collaborate with structural engineers, contractors, and other professionals to resolve design issues and achieve project goals.
Stay updated on industry trends, CAD software advancements, and relevant building code changes.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Structural Drafter or similar role in a structural firm or construction company.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit, with demonstrated ability to create 3D models and detailed drawings.
Strong understanding of architectural drafting techniques, building materials, and construction methods.
Ability to read and interpret architectural plans comprehensively (A-Z).
Knowledge of structural concepts, particularly in precast applications.
Experience in generating shop and production drawings.
Ability to create cut section details and other technical drawings.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Energetic, punctual, and focused demeanor with a strong work ethic.
Attention to detail and accuracy in all work.
Minimum of 3 years of experience required
Hours are 7:00am - 3:30pm
