Pay:

Base salary $2,730 monthly/$32,760 annually

Your Specific Responsibilities:

This position’s primary function is to provide excellent customer service as the first point of contact in the Florida State Parks.

Responsible for greeting customers at the park entrance and providing information pertaining to the park and surrounding area. Inform visitors of the park features as well as any current and upcoming park activities and events. Interpret rules, answer questions and provide interpretive/educational information to visitors.

Coordinate, develop and assist in the operation of revenue generating activities. Collect fees for park entrance and annual permits. Operate point of sale system, accurately collect, record, and reconcile revenue collected.

Coordinates and oversees volunteers for tollbooth operations and ensures coverage. Trains volunteers and OPS employees in the proper procedures for tollbooth operations.

Prepare reports on safety, incidents and park attendance. Maintain and record all activities of registering divers.

Performs other related work as required.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of:arithmetic and good public relations.

Ability to: communicate effectively verbally and in writing; establish and maintain effective working relationships with others; accurately prepare reports; collect fees, operate cash registers, and credit card terminals; understand and apply rules and regulations; identify and investigate problems;maintain facilities and equipment; follow written/verbal instructions; interpret natural and cultural features.

Minimum Qualifications:

Valid driver’s license

Successful completion of fingerprinting/background check
