Major duties of this position are to communicate, train, direct and evaluate staff in performing their work. This position exercises independent judgement in formulating medical nutritional care policies and assisting with administrative food service policies and procedures. Supervises dietitians, techs, and students that conduct nutritional care programs for residents. Plans workloads, workflows, deadlines, work objectives and time utilization with subordinates. Plans and develops food service menus with pre-established cost standards, including all therapeutic diets. Updates/changes menus as needed for holidays, special picnics, or outings. Conducts written nutritional analysis of the menu, interpreting the analysis, and changing menus, as necessary. May assist with food production by establishing standardized recipes, quantity needs, and specifications of the foods purchased. Monitors resident nutritional status with observations at meals, reviewing meal intakes and other medical records. Develops policies and procedures for medical nutritional care and for the administrative food service areas in accordance with the federal and state regulations. Conducts and supervises nutritional in-services. Communicates pertinent nutritional care issues on a regular basis with staff, management, administration, medical, and direct care staff. Performs related duties as required. Minimum Qualifications

State of Florida Licensed Dietitian, State of Florida Registered Dietitian. Graduates of Dietetic programs at an accredited university/college that are eligible to sit for the registered dietician exam are able to apply and interview.

Experience, education, and/or training used to meet the minimum qualifications and in response to the qualifying questions must be verifiable through information contained in your application.

This position may be required to perform essential services before, during, and after an emergency per APD OP 2-0035. This position is critical to the safety and supervision of residents and may require the incumbent to work beyond their normal work schedule to maintain minimum coverage levels in the facility.
