Description We are inviting applications for the position of Sr. Accountant to be based in Margate, Florida. The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing invoicing AR, collection of customer payments, and some AP invoicing. This role also involves closely working with the Controller & CFO to perform month end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and analyzing data. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Oversee the invoicing of Accounts Receivable and collection of customer payments Handle some Accounts Payable invoicing Work closely with the Controller and CFO to perform month-end close Prepare and post journal entries Perform reconciliations Analyze data and provide ad hoc financial analysis Manage collections and maintain customer credit records Use Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks for various accounting tasks Handle Accounts Receivable and customer invoices. Requirements Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Sr. Accountant role or similar Proficient in Account Reconciliation and Bank Reconciliations Comprehensive understanding of General Ledger maintenance Familiarity with Journal Entries creation and management Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel Experience with Month End Close procedures Proficiency in QuickBooks is required Ability to perform Ad Hoc Financial Analysis as needed Prior experience in Collections management Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) management Ability to handle Customer Invoices effectively and professionally Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred CPA certification is a plus Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Must have high attention to detail and strong organizational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
