All while understanding that together we are even better.Schedule: Full-time/DayShift : Sunday-Thursday 7:00am-3:30pm.Location: Maitland, FLJob Summary:The Clerical Supervisor – HIM supervises and oversees the day-to-day operations of the clerical team including monitoring of productivity and accuracy, assigning of tasks to team members, and meeting deadlines. Responsible for assuring that monthly goals are met. Adheres to the AdventHealth policies and procedures while ensuring the adherence to all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state and federal agencies and accrediting bodies. Maintains the confidentiality of employees, patients, administrative staff and functions, and medical staff information with no infractions.You Will Be Responsible For:

Monitors team productivity and quality. Ensures monthly department goals are met. Monitors quality through random monthly audit. Responsible for providing feedback to team members of productivity and quality.

Responsible for the daily supervision of the clerical team, ensuring that clerical duties are completed in a timely manner. This includes workflow assignment, monitoring attendance and PDO requests, evaluating processes, and creating/conducting orientation and training for new employees.

Coordinate with PA/PFS management, managed care, vendors and various other hospital management team members to ensure workflow is processed timely.

Assists Director with aggregation and preparation of various reports (i.e. regulatory, productivity, quality) for department.

Maintains knowledge of AdventHealth policies, Medical Staff Rules and Regulations, federal and state guidelines including but not limited to CMS and DNV regarding EMR completion, release of information practices, and provide explanation when appropriate.

QualificationsWhat You Will Need:

Associates degree in Health Information Technology, Business, Science, Arts or other healthcare related field

One-year experience in a clerical or clinical role (Preferred)

RHIA/RHIT or other healthcare related credential (Preferred)
