This is an entry-level in network administration, offering growth opportunities and hands-on experience with network hardware, software, and various IT tools.Education and/or Certifications:Required:
High school diploma; Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field is preferred.
-Applicable DoD 8140 or DoD 8570 Certification-Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating potential network issues.-Strong interpersonal and communication skills to convey technical information to non-technical staff and coordinate effectively across teams.Desired:
Cisco Certified CCNA, CCNP
Required Skills:-Eagerness to learn new technologies and take on additional responsibilities over time.-Basic knowledge of TCP/IP, LAN/WAN technologies, network protocols, and familiarity with network hardware.-Assist in monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and firewalls.-0 - 2 years of experience in network support or IT helpdesk roles is a plus-Support the installation, configuration, and testing of network hardware and software, ensuring connectivity for all devices and end-users.-Strong analytical skills with a focus on troubleshooting and diagnosing network issues-Ability to communicate technical issues clearly and professionally with non-technical staff.-Respond to user inquiries and issues related to network connectivity, performing basic diagnostics, and escalating more complex issues as needed.-Maintain detailed records of network configurations, incidents, and changes in network topology.-Update network diagrams, inventories, and other related documentation.-Work closely with senior network technicians, IT support, and other departments to ensure seamless network operations and assist with ongoing projects.-Basic understanding of network security concepts.-Basic understanding of VPN Technologies (IPSEC, DMVPN, S2S, L3VPN, VPLS)-Basic understanding of the following routing protocols: EIGRP, OSPF, and BGP-Ability to work weekends and evening hours as needed-Ability to work independently with little direction and guidance-Review and/or approve Network engineering documentation to ensure that processes and specifications meet Network needs and are accurate, comprehensive, and completeDesired Skills:

The likely salary range for this position is $85,000 - $115,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
