The HBSS/ESS Engineer specializes in the management and operations of a large enterprise environment in support of the USCENTCOM C4ES Program at MacDill HQ in Tampa. Primary Responsibilities: The HBSS/ESS Engineer will perform the following activities:- Monitor and troubleshoot system/application activity and performance.
- Perform functionality and integration testing for new and updated endpoint security software. Ensuring all Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) and DOD configuration guidance are met for completeness and accuracy.
- Assist in the implementation of policies and standards related to the use of computing resources, overall strategy, design, implementation, and operational aspects of multiple systems, operating environments, and related software.
- Coordinate all work through the use of the designated ticketing system in use by the command.
- Additional duties as assigned by the Engineering leadership.
- Bachelor's degree coupled with 5+ years systems administration experience; OR 9+ year's experience in lieu of education.
- A minimum of 2+ years experience using HBSS/ESS.
- Strong and broad understanding of HBSS/ESS applications to include Endpoint Security (ENS), McAfee Application and Change Control (MACC), Policy Auditor (PA), Rogue System Detection (RSD) HIPS , and Data Loss Prevention (DLP).
- In depth experience with Trellix ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) design, implementation, and server administration.
- Review policies and exceptions for the various HBSS/ESS modules and provide best practice recommendations for emerging threat and operational impact.
- Thorough understanding with core Microsoft Products
- Knowledge of VMware virtual environments

- DISA HBSS 201/301/501 Administration Courses
- Candidates must meet DoD 8570.1M requirements
