Accounts Payable Clerk

Description We are seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join a company on a contract to hire basis in Longwood, Florida. The main role will be to handle vendor communication, process various invoices, and reconcile credit statements. Responsibilities: Update and maintain vendor profiles, ensuring all documentation is accurate. Process and audit expense reports for accuracy and disbursement. Manage multi-divisional invoice processing. Ensure timely handling of divisional expense reports, phone, and IT bills. Reconcile credit card statements and input details into the system. Reconcile Fleet Charge and Purchase Order accrual accounts. Perform monthly vendor statement reconciliations. Process check transactions for specific divisions. Conduct quarterly research on outstanding checks with divisional support. Obtain necessary authorizations for payments and disbursements. Execute check runs and mail disbursements with backup documentation. Resolve discrepancies through vendor communication. Review monthly aged payable reports for outstanding credits. Coordinate annual off-site file submissions. Prepare vendor labels and establish the filing system each year. Train divisional Accounts Payable staff on purchase orders and receipts as needed. Upload vendor invoices and prepare requested reports.Requirements Prior experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk. Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, ensuring all financial records are accurate. Demonstrated expertise in Accounts Payable (AP), managing and organizing payments to suppliers and vendors. Strong data entry skills, with an emphasis on accuracy and speed.
