Description Robert Half is currently working with a client looking to fill a Payroll Supervisor position. This Payroll Supervisor will help achieve standards that are necessary for growth within the financial department and will be responsible for work on tax-related tasks, such as W2 forms, preparing reports and updating policies. Regulate system upgrades and the processing of payroll changes (e.g., new hires, terminations, raises)
Prepare reports and maintain accurate records
Supervise and coach payroll clerks and assistants
Liaise with auditors and manage payroll tax audits
Follow internal policies and act in accordance with relevant laws
Help create systems that process payroll account transactions, like salaries, benefits, garnishments, deductions, taxes and third-party payments
Resolve issues and answer payroll-related questions
Organize payroll systems and timekeeping
Work with Human Resources (HR) and accounting teams
Requirements
CPP, CPM, or other related professional certifications is a plus
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Human Resources or related field
Strong understanding of compliance
Previous experience with multi-location payroll and taxes
Knowledge of current payroll procedures and related laws
Strong communication and social skills
Professional in handling confidential business matters and information with discretion
5+ years of payroll experience
2+ years of proven leadership experience as a payroll manager or similar role
Organizational and leadership skills
Proficiency and experience with ADP Workforce and Microsoft Excel
