We are looking for Material Handler's in Lakeland, FL.
Load/unload heavy metal material orders on trucks with the use of forklifts, overhead crane, or by hand. Must be comfortable in a metal shop environment and help where needed.
MUST have experience with metal products
Essential (primary) functions include but are not limited to:
Load trucks in a safe and timely manner. Ensure that all orders are banded or wired.
Complete first article process on all orders
Unload, receive or oversee the receiving of any materials
Constantly work to keep materials easily available for active projects while placing scrap, drop and inactive materials in appropriate locations for disposal
Clean the warehouse/shop
Insure that locations are properly documented where material is stored on the work orders to expedite future retrieval.
Use the Work Order to find and deliver all parts machined per that Work Order.
Drive tractor trailers on company property
Load each truck in sequence of its stops for off loading at each destination
Must be trained in all Quality procedures relating to specific job assignment
Previous warehouse experience with forklift and overhead cranes preferred, but not necessary
Must know how to read tape measure accurately
Good basic math skills including whole numbers, fractions and decimals
Ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
PHYSICAL ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Must be able to walk, stand, sit, and apply all motor functions in order to perform the job. May be required to lift up to 50 pounds.
