Join our team and watch your dreams come true.We are seeking a seasoned utility industry executive leader to serve as Director, Business Affairs, Reedy Creek Energy Services (RCES) at Walt Disney World Parks and Resorts. This role is responsible for leading the business affairs of utilities serving Walt Disney World Parks and Resorts including electric and natural gas purchases, supply planning, contract development and negotiation, hedging, representation and compliance with state and federal electric and gas utility rules and regulations, environmental assessments and reporting, tracking and summarizing emissions targets and business support to other utility operations. The role is multifaceted, requiring strong leadership of a team, industry expertise, and strong contracting, negotiation and financial skills while operating as a highly engaged working leader. Reporting to the Vice President, RCES & Transportation Engineering Services, the Director will lead a team of six Cast Members.Responsibilities

Lead a diverse team responsible for the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District (CFTOD) electric and natural gas purchasing and planning, extensive modeling, analytics, negotiation, contract development, compliance with state and federal electric and gas utility regulations, hourly and daily trading, financial reconciliation, and business support of other CFTOD utility operations.

Represent CFTOD with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), Florida Public Service Commission (FPSC), Florida Reliability Coordinating Council (FRCC), Florida Municipal Natural Gas Association (FMNGA) and other industry groups.

Implement and monitor processes to ensure Cast and Guest safety at the highest levels.

Develop internal and external relationships to provide strategic, safe, high-quality, reliable, and cost-effective energy services.

Provide leadership on financial controls, customer service, operational strategies, and all planning to support current operations and future growth of the utility systems.

Motivate, lead, and develop Cast Members through teamwork, collaboration, growth, development, reward, and recognition opportunities.

Maintain close working relationships with CFTOD’s Leadership team including Administrative and Planning & Engineering personnel.

Proactively evaluate energy trends and stay current with industry knowledge.

Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, contractual and company guidelines.

Support special requests as needed.

Basic Qualifications

Minimum 10 years of experience in utility energy purchasing or related industrial field with a minimum 5 years in a senior leadership role.

Proven record of results-oriented success with in-depth knowledge of energy purchases, utility finances, hedging strategies, state and federal electric and gas utility regulations, long term supply planning, modeling, analytics, contract negotiation and compliance.

Demonstrated strategic leadership skills with the ability to define a clear vision, motivate others in a positive way to achieve desired results, and develop a successful team.

Demonstrated strong verbal and written communications with the ability to communicate highly technical information to a variety of audiences.

Proactive communicator who can interface effectively at all levels in an organization and can appropriately influence business results through negotiation, persuasion, and personal presence.

Proven blend of integrated systems thinking, business acumen, independent judgement, strategic vision, technical expertise, and direct leadership expertise.

Required Education

Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field

Master of Business Administration, or equivalent experience preferred
