W Food Group seeks kitchen team members for the upcoming summer on Block Island. Operating as Dead Eye Dick's, the restaurant is an upscale coastal dining destination focused on creative takes on classic New England dishes. Our seafood comes straight from our on-site fish market, Dick’s Fish and Provisions. We are an independent restaurant and market with a hardworking, positive team that takes pride in what we do. Ideal availability May 17- September 29 with some flexibility. Relocating to Block Island is required, basic accommodations are provided at no charge. We are looking for:

Grill/Saute Line Cook: experienced line cooks who can handle high volume at grill and/or saute stations. Experience preparing various seafood to order. Responsible for communicating and assisting with prep, setting up and breaking down stations. Kitchen help is expected to meet all the usual standards: punctual, reliable, clean, respectful with attention to detail. Responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization, following chef's directions and performing in a fast-paced environment.

Expo: Able to communicate with entire kitchen staff during busy shifts. Time orders, coordinate stations, communicate with servers about allergies, mods and ingredients. Set servers up for success. Work closely with FOH manager to control seating. Must be calm under pressure, direct and LOUD but not rude.
