Purpose and ScopeAmentum is seeking an Engineering Division Director to lead a team inclusive of Design Engineering, Project Controls, Project Management, Construction Services, Site Services, Activation/Turnover, and Asset Management, at the Kennedy Space Center, Florida on the Base Operations and Spaceport Services (BOSS) Contract.The Director of Engineering is responsible for developing and implementing technical strategies and plans that align with the company’s overall business goals. This includes driving innovation, optimizing resources, and ensuring the on time delivery of quality products and services to customers. Lead and manage the engineering team, ensuring that all members are working effectively and efficiently towards the goals set forth by the organization.Work closely with both internal and external stakeholders across the organization, to ensure that the engineering team is aligned with the needs of the business.Job Duties and Essential ResponsibilitiesPossess a deep understanding of engineering principles and practices, as well as strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills. Balance competing demands and make strategic decisions that best support the company’s objectives and the KSC mission.Drive innovation, foster creativity, and be able to set and guide the strategic direction of the engineering department. Possess outstanding communication skills, both written and oral, and be adept at communicating technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences. Produce clear and concise reports, documentation, and presentations. Ensure all engineering projects, initiatives, and processes are in conformance with the Company’s established policies and objectives, as well as engineering best practices and industry standards. Enforce use of best practice engineering methods, and provide technical guidance for engineering initiatives. Act as a mentor and provide constructive feedback to the engineering team, through discussions, training, and formal performance evaluations. Develop and manage the overall engineering budget and associated costs Manage the overall Task Order IDIQ program, establishing scope, cost, and schedule expectations, and monitoring performance through metrics and KPI’s. Monitor monthly engineering metrics and performance standards, and facilitate a strong performance Set strategic goals for the engineering team, coordinate hiring efforts, and prioritize projects. Assess engineering processes/procedures for continuous improvement opportunities. Coordinate with the other BOSS Divisions to facilitate harmonious and streamlined team support Work in a fast-paced environment handling multiple tasks at a given time and rapidly adapt to changing priorities and schedules while maintaining performance standards. Establish and maintain exceptional client relationships via effective communication, time management, responsiveness, and reliability. Carry out management responsibilities in accordance with company’s policies and applicable laws. Perform other duties as required.Education and Experience RequirementsBachelors of Science degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related scientific field. Management or supervisory experience: 5 years minimum, preferably in a senior or executive role Facility related Engineering experience: 10 years minimum. Experience supporting Engineering Services under Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Contracts Possess a working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs – including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint and Project. Good communication, writing and analytical skills.Preferred Qualifications:It is preferred to possess a current and active FL Professional Engineers license Experience at the Kennedy Space Center is preferred. May require some limited travel. May require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance.Other Requirements:

Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain required clearances/badges as required by program and position

Must have the ability to communicate in English, both verbal and written in an effective manner.

Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:This position involves work typical of an office environment with no unusual hazards; occasional lifting to 20 pounds; constant sitting with use of computer terminal; constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents; constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication; constant mental alertness; must possess planning/organizing skills and must be able to work under deadlines. Field work will consist primarily of site walk downs in support of design projects and system trouble shooting Site hazard training and Personal Protective Equipment are provided.Other Responsibilities:
