FTT will require proof of status prior to employment.General Job Summary:The Buyer is a full-time, on-site position in our Jupiter, FL office. The Buyer will perform day-to-day purchase activities involving placing orders for procuring goods and services for the company. Essential Job Functions:

Works directly with Manufacturing Operation Engineers for processing of requisitions.

Reviews requisitions for formal RFQ processing and submittal to suppliers.

Works with suppliers to obtain product or service information such as delivery schedules.

Obtain vendor information and help set up new vendors in compliance with government requirements.

Award purchase orders in accordance with FAR.

Prepare purchase orders using Costpoint.

Obtains certifications of delivery and conducts check against order.

Communicate purchase order/project status with internal customers.

Maintain required procurement records associated with CPSR.

Follow up with Manufacturing Operation Engineers for Receiving & QC process to support accounts payable.

Maintain sensitive and confidential information as required by company and government requirements.

Collect and analyze data from diverse sources to solve problems that require a professional level of knowledge in purchasing.

Other job duties as assigned.

Required Experience:

Possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the assigned duties.

High level of analytic ability.

Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, technical procedures, and/or government regulations.

Communicate and interact effectively with peers, supervisors, and public, including maintaining respect for others, and following company policies.

Have a willingness and ability to learn and utilize company technology for company required purposes, including training, reviewing, and signing policies and procedures, benefits enrollment and changes, etc.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment, supporting teams with varying requirements.

Ability to read, understand, and follow instructions.

Education and Experience:

BA/BS from a four-year college/university or relevant experience in related field.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Knowledge of Costpoint is preferred.

Work Environment/Physical Requirements:

Office/Lab/Warehouse environment.

Must be able to lift up to 25lbs if necessary.

Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time.

Ability to perform repetitive motion using common tools/equipment of the trade.

Ability to lift, grasp, sit, stand, bend, type, and see computer screen.
