Tailor Job available - learn a new skill
Wanted:
A tailor or seamstress with 1-2 years of experience in alterations. However, if you have an immense desire to learn the craft, we are open-minded to train the right candidate.
What is required to know or learn:
Heming pants
Opening sleeves
Finishing sleeves
Tapering legs
Waist and seat - in and out
Pressing pants, jackets, dresses, etc
Fitting the clothes properly to the customer
Using sewing machinery: Blind stitch, industrial sewing machine, serger, etc
Excellent Customer service
Personality needed:
Has patience
Loves to work with their hands
Enjoys the garment and fashion industry
Loves to serve others
Enjoys detailed work
Wants a career in sewing
Has a desire to learn
Hours:
Part-time and full-time available
MON-SUN
Location:
Arlington Area
Pay:
$13-$15 or more, depending on experience
Other requirements:
This is a fast-paced job that requires you to be on your feet and sitting at all times. You'll also be bending over a lot.
