- Support of IMS databases in a multi-IMS multi-CICS plex with shared databases. Critical databases are online 24X7. Online DB maintenance performed with BMC MAXM CRF.
- Responsible for monitoring performance, addressing storage issues (DASD), planning for growth, and implementing structural changes required for IMS systems.
- Perform periodic reorganizations, based on growth or performance.
- Provide on-call support on a rotating basis.
- Perform routine implementation of IMS control blocks (PSB, DBD, ACB).
- Perform online change for ACB control blocks.
- Address issues with consistency between IMS regions and JCL libraries.
- Produce statistical reports utilizing IMS Performance Analyzer
- Recommend performance tuning improvements
