Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Fertilization & Pest Control Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the accurate and timely application of fertilizers, herbicides, fungicides, and insecticides to maintain the health and appearance of lawns, trees, and shrubs, while effectively controlling pests. This role requires a strong understanding of plant health, pest identification, and safe chemical application practices.
Responsibilities
Apply various types of fertilizers and pest control products to turf, plants, and trees according to established schedules and client specifications.
Identify and diagnose common turf and ornamental plant diseases, insect infestations, and nutritional deficiencies.
Maintain detailed records of applications, including products used, rates, dates, and observed results.
Operate and maintain fertilization and pest control equipment, ensuring proper calibration and safety.
Communicate effectively with clients regarding their landscape health, treatment plans, and any concerns.
Adhere to all safety protocols, environmental regulations, and company policies.
Monitor weather conditions and adjust application schedules as needed.
Provide exceptional customer service and contribute to a positive team environment.
Qualifications
Minimum of 1 year of experience in fertilization and pest control within the landscaping industry.
Strong knowledge of various turf grass types, ornamental plants, common pests, and plant diseases.
Familiarity with different types of fertilizers, herbicides, fungicides, and insecticides and their appropriate application methods.
Ability to operate and maintain relevant equipment (e.g., sprayers, spreaders, blowers).
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical ability to lift heavy materials, work outdoors in various weather conditions, and perform physically demanding tasks.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
