Tax Accountant

We are seeking an experienced Tax Preparer to join our team in an onsite role. This position involves preparing individual tax returns (Form 1040) using client-provided documents, such as 1099s, K-1s, and deduction support. You will input data into GOSystem Tax RS software for review by our permanent staff in a professional, collaborative environment.Key Responsibilities:Prepare individual income tax returns (Form 1040) using GOSystem Tax RS.Organize and input data from client-provided paper and digital documents.Work closely with internal tax professionals to ensure accuracy and compliance.Handle tax returns for high-net-worth clients with sophisticated investments such as hedge funds, real estate partnerships, and private equity investments.Maintain organization and multitask effectively in a high-volume environment.Required Qualifications:Experience:3-5 years of recent experience preparing complex individual tax returns (preferably with a CPA firm during tax season).CPA firm experience required (H&R Block or similar firms do not qualify).Certifications:Active PTIN Certification (validated).Skills:Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.Experience with GOSystem Tax RS and Adobe PDF preferred.Strong knowledge of tax preparation for high-net-worth individuals.Attributes:Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills.Strong oral and written communication skills.Ability to work independently and switch between projects with ease.Education:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting strongly preferred.CPA certification highly desirable.Preferred Qualifications:Experience working with high-net-worth clientele.Familiarity with investments such as hedge funds, real estate partnerships, and private equity.
