Sr. Accountant

Description We are seeking a Sr. Accountant to join our team in Jacksonville, Florida. This role is a short term contract employment opportunity that incorporates various responsibilities in the accounting sector, particularly related to government contracting. The position is completely remote.Responsibilities: Oversee the process of account reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation Handle bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting Maintain and update the general ledger on a regular basis Prepare and post journal entries as part of the month-end close process Utilize Microsoft Excel to analyze and present financial data effectively Implement and maintain financial systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP Process customer credit applications with accuracy and efficiency Maintain accurate records of customer credit information Resolve customer inquiries related to their accounts Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessaryRequirements Extensive experience in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations Proficiency in maintaining general ledger and preparing journal entries Advanced skills in using Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting Experience in month end close procedures to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting Ability to interpret and analyze financial data and provide insights Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in work Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field Must have experience working for a government contractorRobert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
