If you want to make an impact in fintech, we’d like to know: Are you FIS? About the role:Highly engage in planning, implementing and guiding FIS’s production sites in government health and safety policies and procedures. This role will require domestic travel and familiarity with OSHA codes. What you will be doing:Develops and implements corporate safety policies to comply with safety and health requirements determined by government agencies, i.e., OSHA, DNR, DOT, EPA.Develops safety program documentation, employee safety handbook and education materials, publishes appropriate documentation and provides safety training to employees and contractors as needed throughout FIS.Conducts employee training in emergency response, life safety, industrial hygiene and chemical and fire hazards.Conducts safety surveys and recommends corrective action where occupational hazards exist.Responds to emergencies, investigates accidents and recommends corrective action.Completes required federal, state and local government reports relating to safety.Conducts OSHA compliance program audits, internal safety audits of owned and leased facilities and other audits as appropriate.Works with risk management to minimize future worker compensation claims.Works closely with insurance risk management to develop risk assessments and discuss appropriate risk mitigation strategies.Ensures compliance to changes in policies and procedures with all applicable safety, health and environmental regulations.Stays abreast of changes in government legislation that may impact corporate safety policies.Maintains records on lost time accidents and prepares appropriate reports. Identifies and mitigates any safety violations that occurred in accident.Assists in the development and annual review of emergency evacuation plans for each location.Works closely with corporate business continuity teams to ensure business continuity in the event of a disaster.Supports facility managers in safety process and procedure implementation.May implement hazardous waste control and disposal activities including training, collection, disposal and records maintenance, as well as conservation programs within the organization.Coordinates with outside agencies in the investigation of criminal activity within or around the facility.Reviews and investigates all U.S. property claims and all global auto claims including rental auto incidents. Coordinates third party administration of property and auto claims.Works with claims adjusters to mitigate both property and auto claims.What you will need:Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.Knowledge of health and safety requirements and related government agencies, e.g., OSHA, DNR, DOT, EPAKnowledge of operating procedures of all offices and facilitiesProficient written and oral communication skills in dealing with employees or external customers/clientsProficiency in emergency response, life safety, industrial hygiene and chemical and fire hazard proceduresProficiency in presenting materials to all levels of employeesProficient in displaying professionalism and trustworthy demeanorCapacity to react quickly in sensitive situationsProficiency to obtain information from individuals under stress in unusual or emergency situationsWhat we offer you:A career at FIS is more than just a job.
