Direct, educate and monitor staff. May provide input for hiring, training, directing, development and evaluating of staff.
Ensure the accuracy of patient charts and medical data. Works as part of an interdisciplinary team.
Maintain current knowledge of federal, state and local standards and regulations for long-term care, such as those for certification, licensure and accreditation, Medicare, and state Medicaid.
Participate in the CMS (Centers for Medicaid/Medicare Services) survey process and plan of correction.
Promote survey preparedness at all times. Supplies information to third parties.
Train individuals to develop a comprehensive care plan for facility residents in coordination with the Minimum Data Set (MDS) that accurately addresses the needs of residents.
RequirementsLicensure / Certification / Registration:
Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Education:
Required professional licensure/certification AND 1 year of cumulative job specific experiencerequired.
