Payroll Analyst

Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity in the retail industry in Jacksonville, Florida for a Payroll Analyst. This role involves dealing with payroll processing during personnel changes and maintaining compliance with company policies and government regulations.Responsibilities: Oversee the processing of multi-state payroll for both non-exempt and exempt employees. Handle various deductions, including garnishments, retirement plans, and other miscellaneous deductions. Collaborate with HR generalists and managers to keep all employee data up to date and managed efficiently. Conduct weekly audits on various changes such as new hires, terminations, status changes, tax changes, direct deposit, and rate changes. Ensure the correct calculation of PTO accruals. Investigate and rectify payroll discrepancies as required. Submit bi-weekly files to the retirement vendor and carry out reconciliation of retirement funding. Maintain the timekeeping system to ensure data compliance with company policies and governmental regulations. Requirements Minimum of 7 years of experience in a Payroll Analyst role or similar within the retail industry. Proficiency in using Accounting Software Systems is essential. Experience with ADP - Financial Services is required. Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now is a must. Knowledge of Ceridian and Dayforce platforms is necessary. Experience in 401k - RRSP Administration is highly desirable. Familiarity with About Time software is beneficial. Solid understanding of general Accounting Functions is needed. Proven experience in Auditing is required. Ability to manage Benefit Functions effectively is a key requirement.
