Veterinary Laboratory Technician

VCA Hollywood Animal Hospital is seeking an enthusiastic Laboratory Technician for processing laboratory tests and maintenance on laboratory equipment to join our team at our busy, 24-hour emergency/referral/multi-specialty and general practice in Hollywood, Florida.Are you detail orientated, organized and able to muli-task in a fast-paced environment? If so, this is the position for you.Laboratory Technician processes and tests all types of laboratory specimens; reviews and reports lab results; performs operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of laboratory instrumentation and equipment; acts as resource as needed.Lab Technician Duties and Responsibilities:· Receive and prepare samples for laboratory analysis and testing· Process and label samples (blood, urine, fecal, tissue, etc.)· Responsible for performing moderate and high-complexity testing· Working knowledge of laboratory equipment· Familiarity with diagnostic laboratory environment· Record all data and results· Maintain all laboratory equipment· Performs quality control and calibration procedures when indicated and instrument checks· Ensure that all safety guidelines are followed strictly at all times· Performs other related duties as assignedIf you are a current associate, you will need to apply through our internal career site.
