Network Engineer

Description We are seeking a Network Engineer to become a part of our dynamic team in the Aerospace industry, located in Hollywood, Florida. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for various tasks including network design, maintenance, and optimization, as well as ensuring the security and compliance of our network systems.Responsibilities: Design and maintain the networking infrastructure including LAN/WAN environments, VLANs, VPNs, and subnetting. Deploy and manage network hardware such as routers, switches, firewalls, and access points. Implement and oversee Software-Defined Networking (SDN) and SD-WAN solutions. Ensure the effective functioning of fiber switches and associated infrastructure. Monitor network performance and carry out troubleshooting and proactive upgrades to optimize performance. Enforce IT security policies and maintain firewalls (Check Point, Palo Alto, Fortinet). Conduct network security audits and vulnerability assessments to ensure the security and compliance of our network systems. Manage Cisco Meraki wireless access points and ensure secure and efficient wireless connectivity. Work within virtualized networking environments (VMware NSX, vCenter). Provide technical support and respond to incidents within SLA guidelines. Document network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides. Collaborate with cross-functional teams for issue resolution. Provide technical support for Unified Cisco Call Manager (UCCM, UCaaS) and troubleshoot circuits and ISP related issues. Requirements Candidate must possess knowledge of Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) Proficiency in Checkpoint is necessary Familiarity with Cisco ASA is a requirement Experience with Cisco Routers is essential Mastery of Cisco Technologies is needed Proficiency in AB Testing is desirable Knowledge of Backup Technologies is required Understanding of Computer Hardware is a must Skills in Configuration Management are necessary Experience with Datacenter is required Cisco CCNP certification is a plus Familiarity with Meraki is preferred Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.® Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
