Description We are in search of a Construction Controller to be a part of a growing client's team in Daytona Beach, FL This role plays a crucial part in managing and overseeing the financial operations of their construction projects. The Construction Controller will be tasked with ensuring accurate financial reporting, implementing and monitoring internal controls, analyzing financial data, and collaborating with project managers to develop and track budgets.Responsibilities: Work in tandem with project managers for the development and tracking of project budgets Oversee and manage the processes of accounts payable and accounts receivable Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations Conduct detailed financial analysis and provide recommendations to enhance project profitability Implement and maintain financial controls and procedures to maximize efficiency and minimize risk Manage all aspects of project cost accounting, including tracking job costs and evaluating variances Prepare and analyze financial statements for multiple construction projects Utilize Construction Accounting and AIA Billing knowledge to ensure accurate financial reporting Use QuickBooks and other software for efficient and accurate accounting and reporting Monitor job costs and implement strategies to maintain budgetary control.Requirements Must possess a minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role Proficiency in Construction Accounting is mandatory Familiarity with AIA Billing is required Proficient use of QuickBooks is necessary Must have experience in Job Cost procedures A degree in a related field is preferred Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills Knowledge of construction industry regulations and laws Ability to work well as part of a team and independently Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.For immediate consideration regarding the Construction Controller position, please send your resume to Mitch Anderson, AVP and Practice Director.
