Job Overview:
The Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing and managing the maintenance of residential and commercial properties, ensuring that facilities are safe, functional, and well-maintained. This includes supervising a team of maintenance technicians, performing routine inspections, and coordinating repairs and upgrades. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong problem-solving skills, a keen attention to detail, and a passion for delivering exceptional service.
Responsibilities:
Supervise and lead a team of maintenance technicians.
Conduct routine property inspections and identify maintenance needs.
Oversee repairs and maintenance of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building systems.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes.
Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and resolve issues efficiently.
Coordinate and manage maintenance schedules, ensuring minimal disruption to tenants.
Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and order parts as needed.
Collaborate with property management to schedule and plan building improvements or upgrades.
Train and mentor maintenance staff, ensuring they follow best practices and company policies.
Handle maintenance-related tenant inquiries and service requests in a professional and timely manner.
Requirements:
Proven experience in property maintenance, in a supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building systems.
Ability to troubleshoot and perform repairs on a variety of systems and equipment.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Must be able to perform physical labor as required.
Background check and drug test required.
Preferred:
Experience in property management or facilities management.
Certification in maintenance or relevant trades (e.g., HVAC, plumbing, electrical).
