One to two days per week doing delivery routes,

requires at least one day per week working on site at the farm

Start Times range from 3:00 am - 6:00 am

End Times range from 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Delivery Routes Available

Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays

This position utilizes skills in driving large vehicles with trailers, completing inventory, and managing the logistics of a delivery route. Our current delivery routes are on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday. Applicants will not need to be available for all of these shifts. This position can be combined with the Production Team, Farmers Market and/or Maintenance teams to achieve full time hours.

Skilled communicator (ex. If you don’t hear back from someone you need an answer from, you are proactive in reaching out again)

Job Duties:

Pack items and drive with care to ensure products arrive in good condition.

Inventory using the Load List and ensure all products are accounted for

Communicate with Production Team and Office Staff to resolve any errors or missing items

Document inventory, pickups, deliveries and keep written and digital logs

Provide excellent customer service to everyone regardless of race, religion, sexual orientation or identity, national origin

Report errors, accidents, etc immediately to managers

Use a smartphone routing app called Routific

Lift at least 50 pounds and climb into the box truck regularly

Pay attention to details and report when inconsistencies are found

Perform preventative maintenance checks including fluids, tire pressure and belts, observe vehicle functions and report any issues

Communicate professionally and courteously with other staff and customers

Unload and clean truck at the end of each shift

Requirements

Pass background check

Demonstrated Seven Year Safe Driving Record (Pass a MVR check)

Positive attitude and friendly demeanor, be a team player

Non-tobacco user, no smoking on site or in vehicles or while on the clock

Must provide two positive reviews from professional references

Motivated to do an efficient, high-quality job

Interest in cooking and/or organic farming

Interest in helping to create an alternative to the industrial food system and supplying people in your community with healthy food

Teammates are invited to pick their own vegetables, herbs, or root crops for daily consumption (unpaid time). Please ask first about fruit crops, especially tree fruit crops (John or Amy will help identify non-marketable fruit for farm food).

Teammates have access to the Free Farm Food section of our cooler, where we inventory out-of-spec products that are great for our kitchens. You may find blemished but perfectly tasty produce from our farm and our partner growers each day in this area to take home for dinner.

Staff working 50 hours or more per two week pay cycle receive $50 in credit per pay cycle to their LFM account. Part time staff working fewer than 50 hours per two week pay cycle will receive a flat rate of $20 credit per pay cycle. Credit can be used to place orders here: frogsong.localfoodmarketplace.com. Teammates are required to create an account and encouraged to shop with this credit to enjoy all products from the farm including produce, jams, teas, honey, eggs, and pasture raised meat.

Up to 40 hours per year paid sick leave to care for yourself or a family member/loved one for full time (part time workers receive pro-rated sick leave)

Monthly health care stipend for workers over 25 hours per week - details are covered in the Company Handbook

Unpaid vacation in the fall or winter is negotiable, in coordination with other staff.
