This office is responsible for increasing financial support for the College’s students, faculty, and facility enhancement. The Advancement and Alumni Relations team is committed to connecting alumni and friends to the College of Journalism and Communications through meaningful engagement and strategic collaboration. This is not a remote work position, and it is located on UF’s Main Campus in Gainesville, FL.Some duties you can expect to perform:

Maintain development office staff’s calendars by blocking times and reserving parking/rooms across organizations and with external constituents.

Responsible for completion and submission of reimbursements for Development Officers.

Monitors the Alumni e-mail inbox for incoming inquiries and alumni submissions.

Manages deposits and recording of college gifts and tracks new fund and gift agreement progress.

Processes invoices for various department initiatives and subscriptions.

Assists Senior Director with travel document preparation and reservations.

Processes contact reports and alumni updates in the UF Foundation database.

Assists with data requests for various projects and mailings, and codes alumni contact for the Office of Career and Corporate Partnerships, as well as CJC Online.

Coordinates printing and packaging of stewardship mailings for CJC and WUFT.

Assists with alumni/donor event preparation, including material preparation, RSVP tracking, and day-of execution.

Cross-trains to serve as back up in all areas in the Dean’s office.

High school diploma or equivalent and 2 years of relevant experience.

Experience using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
