We want your knowledge and expertise!Job Summary and QualificationsProvides dietary support, assessment, and direction for weight loss surgery patients.In this role you will:
Knowledgeable of general nutrition and nutritional therapy recommendations for various stages of the life cycle, various disease states, and bariatric surgery patients.
Assesses patient nutritional status and plans proper nutritional therapy including recommendations for protein, vitamins, andminerals according to nutritional guidelines for clinical nutrition practice for bariatrics.
Calculates therapeutic diets according to patient need and considering restrictions. requested to insure proper nutrition care. communication.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Responsible for using appropriate resources (mox, bulletin boards, email, etc) to stay updated on all departmental and facility
Actively participates in staff meetings and overall department improvements.
Assists with daily clinic operations; including answering the phone, filing, database entry etc.
Assists with marketing efforts as directed.
Coordinates and facilitates (with input from supervisor) patient support initiatives. Assists as necessary with non-local support activities.
Responsible for reviewing and updating all nutrition education material and participating in marketing for the program as to established standards of practice and within departmental guidelines.necessary.
Completes and documents consults for nutrition evaluation/assessment, education and ongoing nutrition intervention according
Always offers assistance to patient and/or caregiver with menu selections. Offers alternate food selection to patients as
Responsible for educating patients on the nutritional care pre and post surgery and insures patient’s comprehension.
What qualifications you will need:
Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
Registered Dietitian (RD) and licensed in the State of Florida. BLS certified.

Graduation from an accredited school with a degree in Nutrition or related field.
