We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Estimator / Project Manager to join our team. The Electrical Estimator / Project Manager will be responsible for accurately estimating project costs, preparing proposals, managing project budgets and schedules, and ensuring successful project completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical estimating, project management, and construction operations.
Electrical Estimator Responsibilities Include but Are Not Limited To:
-Analyzing blueprints and determining quantities of electrical components required for the job.
-Determining the amount, type, and cost of materials and fixtures needed for each electrical project.
-Determining the amount of labor required to complete each project.
-Determining the potential profitability of electrical project to assist management in making sound bidding decisions.
-Prepare and submit competitive bids for construction projects, ensuring all components are accurate and reflect the project's true cost.
-Ensure project is being performed as originally bid.
-Providing viable solutions to increase project profitability.
-Submit and track submittals as required.
-Work with project foreman during project to reach completion. Materials and schedule etc.
-Completing and submitting competitive project bids in accordance with the established bid documents (I.E. Drawings and Specifications)
-Regularly updating cost databases to accurately reflect fluctuating material and labor costs.
-Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, codes, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance and accuracy in estimates.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical estimating and project management within the construction industry.
Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and regulations.
Proficiency in construction estimating software and project management tools (e.g., ACCUBID + PROCURE a Plus).
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and quality.
PMP certification or similar project management credentials preferred.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
