We’re seeking two passionate, self-driven Mobile RV Technicians to join our Fort Myers team and deliver exceptional service to our customers.
Job Overview:
As a Mobile RV Technician with Good Sam RV ProCare in Fort Myers, you’ll provide on-site repair, maintenance, and inspection services for RVs at customer locations, campgrounds, or roadside. This role demands technical expertise, entrepreneurial drive, and a knack for upselling services to enhance customer experiences and boost revenue.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose and repair RV systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliances, generators, slide-outs, and awnings.
Perform routine maintenance (e.g., winterizing, tire checks, propane system inspections) and pre-purchase/safety inspections.
Travel to customer sites within the Fort Myers area to deliver mobile services.
Use service management software and mobile apps (e.g., Service Fusion, Outlook, Microsoft Teams, ADP) for scheduling, invoicing, communication, and payroll with advanced proficiency.
Communicate clearly with customers, provide cost estimates, and upsell additional services (e.g., maintenance packages, upgrades) to maximize satisfaction and revenue.
Maintain accurate records of services, parts, and billing; manage inventory in the service van.
Adhere to safety protocols, industry standards, and local regulations.
Qualifications:
Experience: 2-3 years as an RV technician or in a related field (e.g., automotive, HVAC, appliance repair). RV experience preferred.
Certifications: RVIA/RVDA certification preferred; willingness to obtain is a plus.
Software Skills: Advanced proficiency with service management software and mobile apps, with the ability to quickly learn programs such as Service Fusion, Outlook, Microsoft Teams, and ADP.
Entrepreneurial Mindset: Self-motivated, proactive, and driven to identify opportunities for upselling and business growth.
Upsell Skills: Proven ability to recommend additional services or products to enhance customer experience and increase revenue.
Independent Work: Ability to work on your own with limited supervision, managing time and tasks efficiently in the field.
Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of RV systems (electrical, plumbing, propane, etc.) and troubleshooting.
Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license with a clean record; comfortable operating a service van.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50 lbs, work in confined spaces, and perform tasks in Florida’s outdoor conditions.
Availability: Flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and emergency calls to meet seasonal RV demands.
Tools: Must provide own hand tools; company provides specialty tools and diagnostic equipment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with luxury RVs or specific brands common in Florida.
Familiarity with towing/hitching systems or solar setups.
