Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Marine Diesel Mechanic and Boat Maintenance Technician. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marine diesel engines, electrical systems, and overall boat maintenance and repair.
Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on marine diesel engines, including troubleshooting and diagnosing issues.
Conduct inspections and assessments of vessel systems, including propulsion, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
Perform preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the safe and efficient operation of vessels.
Assist in the installation and upgrade of marine equipment and systems as needed.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts inventory, and service history.
Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to ensure a secure working environment.
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in marine diesel mechanics and boat maintenance.
Strong knowledge of marine diesel engines, electrical systems, and hydraulic systems.
Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues in marine vessels.
Familiarity with marine electronics, including navigation systems and communication devices.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
