Job Description
Overview:
The Lead Installer is responsible for driving the daily activities for the assigned installation crew related
to safety, efficiency, quality, and job completion. This role is also responsible for driving the company
installation truck, hauling the product trailer, and installing all product loaded for completion every day.
The Lead Installer reports directly to the Field Market Supervisor and provides feedback on team
performance and other concerns that arise to ensure fully satisfied customers and delivery of the Avanti
promise. All lead installers are responsible for active participation in installations and completion of daily
work in addition to the lead duties included in the job description.
Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
Review and confirm trailer load for daily orders
Complete truck inspection to ensure all necessary tools are on loaded including ladders and
fall protection PPE as needed per job specifications
Responsible for ensuring all product loaded is installed and kept secure at all times
Safely drive company installation truck and trailer to and from job sites
Ensure installation crew is wearing all required personal protective equipment
Review quality of work performed by the install crew and ensure the appropriate installation
method was used
Act as the point person on the job sites for community builder representatives
Proactively communicate with Field Market Supervisors and escalate issues as necessary
Ensure crew meets installation efficiency metrics to manage labor hours and overtime
Complete necessary load paperwork at the start and end of shift
Submit necessary photos and other related job entries into the ART app using the truck smart
phone
Ensure assigned company vehicle is maintained in good working order, clean and free of
trash
Responsible for following all rules described in the driving policy
Provide training and assistance to other installers as needed
Available to work overtime hours and weekends to meet business need
Must have a clean driving record and valid driver’s license

Education and/or Experience:
High School Diploma or GED and previous leadership experience preferred. 1-2 year’s related
experience. Prior knowledge of general construction applications and terminology and/or window and
door applications or components is desirable but not required.
Computer Skills:
Proficiency with Microsoft® Word, Excel, and Outlook software applications. Will be expected to
develop proficiency in FeneVision (Avanti software) and be/become familiar with Apple iOS.
Communication Skills:
Excellent verbal and written English language skills are required as well as good public relations, public
speaking, and customer service skills. Ability to read, interpret, understand, and explain documents such
as product specifications or warranty manuals and customer orders. Ability to effectively present
information to others, gather information from others and respond appropriately to questions from
customers, coworkers, and managers. Must be able to present appropriate attitude for the situation when
interacting with customers or coworkers.
Professional Skills:
Must be a team player and exhibit a strong desire to learn and promote self-growth. Must be pro-active,
self-disciplined, self-motivated and have a demonstrated ability to follow projects through to completion.
Attention to detail is required. Must be able to demonstrate organizational skills, prioritize tasks and meet
deadlines. Must be able to develop trust, respect, and confidence of customers, coworkers, and managers.
Must present in a clean and neat physical appearance. Must be able to investigate issues and resolve
conflicts in the best interests of the business and our customers.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s. Ability to perform
calculations using units of money, time, measurement, etc. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such
as proportions, percentages, area, length, width, height, and depth. Ability to apply basic concepts of
algebra, geometry, and general business math.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to
finger, handle, type or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally
required to sit, stoop, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral
vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Time commitment required of this position will vary
based on business needs.
Work Environment:
The work environment with this job varies and can include construction job site, customer home,
warehouse, and some time in an office environment. The noise level of this job varies depending on the
location and environment.
