Qualifications:
Must have a minimum of 5 years experience in commercial, residential, industrial electrical systems and/or custom electrical installation
Knowledge in low voltage and high voltage installation
Experience with maintenance and troubleshooting of existing systems
Excellent problem-solving ability, critical thinking skills and attention to detail
Strong knowledge of building codes, National Electric Codes and regulations related to electrical work
Thorough knowledge of safety protocols/procedures and adherence to legal regulations and guidelines
Demonstrable ability to use electrical equipment and hand tools, and understanding of technical drawings and blueprints
Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
Professional appearance and courteous personality with outstanding customer service skills
Ability to work independently or as part of a team, demonstrating strong leadership skills
Reliable and self-motivated
Good verbal and written communication skills
Fluent in English is required
Physical stamina for physically demanding tasks
Must have own set of hand tools
Responsibilities:
Install, maintain and/or repair electrical systems, equipment and fixtures in commercial and residential settings
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics and technical drawings to determine wiring layouts of electrical systems
Service new and existing systems and other related service calls
Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform necessary repairs or replacements to solve customers’ various needs
Communicate effectively with customers, management and team members
Demonstrate leadership being comfortable delegating work to an apprentice
Maintain a clean and safe work environment following all safety rules and regulations
Ensure compliance with national and local electrical codes
Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure electrical systems are integrated properly
