Job Summary:
Residential HVAC Trainer is responsible for the hands-on residential HVAC installer training program. Works with new hires during training to provide hands on instruction, administer testing and teach company and industry practices to meet code requirements. Be a mentor to share trade knowledge to grow the next generation of tradesmen.
Duties/ Responsibilities:
-Lead, monitor, motivate and oversee their trainees to meet productivity and quality standards.
-Ensure work is being installed according to local and national codes.
-Order materials as needed to complete assigned work.
-Complete payroll daily for each member.
-Consistently check for code compliance.
-All other position duties as assigned by management.
Required skills / Abilities:
-Proficient mechanical aptitude and the ability to operate all necessary tools and equipment.
-Possess knowledge of the current code requirements.
-Ability to read and accurately interpret drawings and blueprints.
-Demonstrates safe work habits and proper care for tools and equipment.
-Excellent presentation skills, with demonstrated proficiency in presenting information clearly and effectively in both oral and written communication.
-Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
-Ability to meet deadlines and goals.
-Effective problem-solving skills.
-Computer literacy skills and ability to communicate effectively.
-Must have a Valid Driver’s License and clean MVR report.
Education/ Experience:
-High school diploma or equivalent required.
-At least 5 years of experience in fast-paced, high-volume residential new construction environment.
-Bilingual is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
-Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
-Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
