Dispatcher for HVACR Commercial Service
This is a TEMPORARY position.
The Dispatcher is responsible for handling service calls and work scheduling for service and
installation requests. Schedules and dispatches workers as requests are received. Maintains
records, logs, and schedules of calls received; monitors resources and vehicles, etc.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Receive, process, and prioritize all incoming HVAC service call requests
Log all work orders into software system
Dispatch work orders to the field techs based upon priority
Maintain technician’s daily schedules and dispatch (20+)technicians
Maintain on-call schedule
Provide direction to technicians for operational and functional duties
Maintain customer database; maintain pending work file for regular follow-up
Monitor status of all uncommitted service repairs
Keep customers appraised as to company schedule and requested lead times
Receive & review completed work orders from field techs
Set up job files for all HVAC work orders
Solicit feedback from customers in relation to service received
Qualification Requirements: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge,
skill and/or ability to perform this job successfully.
High School Diploma or equivalent
One year certificate from college/technical school; and /or two years related experience/training in
Commercial HVAC industry and/or related Service Industry business experience
Team player who works and communicates well with people at all levels
Expert level of verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills with ability to speak clearly
and persuasively in positive or negative situations with tact, diplomacy, influence and sensitivity
Demonstrate phone and e-mail etiquette
Ability to multi-task
Ability to use significant independent judgment
Working knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Vista by ViewPoint software
