DOECall Danny at (239) 398-8658 to connect with us today!Responsibilities:Responsible for all activities of concrete finishing, including the following steps of the process:Precision setting of formwork for poursThorough compacting of base materialPrecise fine grading of base materialDetailed fabrication and installation of reinforcing steelProper placement of concrete inside of formworkScreeding/striking-off of placed concreteHigh-quality floating and handwork that is flat and smooth, and free of any blemishes or trowel marksHigh attention to detail when hand finishing around drains, penetrations through the slab, at edges, and around formsPrecision layout, proper spacing, and installation of hand-tooled, or saw-cut control jointsQualifications:2+ years of concrete finishing experience a MUSTMUST have tools for the trade including finishing toolsMUST be able to pull straight-edgeHand and Power trowel experienceEdge and broom working conditionsMay be expected to travel out of town to work on projectsMay usually work irregular hours and often work early mornings and during weekends, and may also do shift work and be on callGenerally, work longer hours in summerWork in most weather conditions and in conditions that may be noisy, wet, cold, dirty and dustyPhysical requirements while performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach with hands and armsThe employee frequently is required to stand; talk or hear; walk; and use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controlsThe employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawlThe employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 poundsSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
