THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A 1099 SECURITY EMPLOYEE OR ANY 1099 Employee.
DO NOT let a Security Company HIRE you as a 1099 Employee/ Guard ( they are screwing you)
THE reason for the company to hire you as a 1099 employee is: to BENEFIT the COMPANY only
1) They pay NO taxes on your behalf; (FICA, Social Security, Medicare) thus saving them and having you pay it to the IRS at the end of the year, plus a possible fine to you from the IRS for not being a legal 1099 Subcontractor (PROOF)
2) They will not cover you with any Liability or Workman's Compensation Insurance!(No matter what they tell you) If so ask for the name and phone # of their insurance company and ask THEM (Insurance Company) if you are covered with them as a 1099 employee! NO CHANCE
Note: Because you will not be covered by the Security Company Insurance: if you are hurt, injured, maimed etc. on your post they will DEFINITELY HAVE NO COVERAGE ON YOU. In order to be a legitimate 1099 Subcontractor you must have:
1) Your OWN Class (B) Security Business License.
2)Your OWN registered Fictitious Name.
3) Your OWN company Named Uniform.(and wear it on their post site)
4) Your OWN Liability and Workman's Comp Insurance.
PROTECT YOURSELF And Your Security D License You worked hard and PAID for it DO NOT ALLOW these Security Companies to take advantage of YOU DEMAND a W-2 and a W- 4 Form when applying for employment and get a pay stub EVERY pay day showing your deductions (you may also loose your SECURITY LICENSE!)
REPORT ANY COMPANY THAT HAS BEEN PAYING YOU WITH A 1099 IMMEDIATELY You will be Compensated (Why should you get screwed and they walk away with more by not covering you)
