Arthrex is actively seeking an experienced Security Officer I - Overnight to join our team at our location in Naples, FL. The Security Officer I will work to preserve the safety and security of employees, visitors, and property per company policies and applicable laws. The Security Officer I works 12-hour shifts and will need to have flexibility with their schedule and location for the department business as necessary. Within six months of employment, this individual will need to obtain a Florida Class D, Class G and a CCW permit as this position will require to carry a firearm. Strong problem solving, customer service, and communication skills required. Experience with MS Office and Access Control systems strongly preferred. The overnight schedule will be 7pm to 7am, Thursday through Saturday, with alternating Wednesdays.

If hired for this position, you will be eligible for a $2,000.00 sign-on bonus (minus appropriate tax withholdings). You will be paid the $2,000.00 during your first pay period.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintain vigilance and manage authorized and unauthorized access to Arthrex facilities.

Respond to emergencies such as medical, fire, theft, trespassing, and acts of violence.

Write reports of daily activities and irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.

Monitor facilities by physical and electronic means.

Coordinate the activity of outside emergency personnel and equipment while on the premises.

Facilitate communication regarding security policies and procedures across the organization to ensure cooperation and consistency.

Provide assistance to contractors/visitors while ensuring adherence to all site policies and procedures.

Identify and verify contractors/visitors information via system and/or badge access to ensure compliance to policies and security to Arthrex facilities

Follow specific instructions and designated guidelines for different types of visitors/contractors and events

Ability to share knowledge and train others when needed.

Education/ Experience:

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

4 or more years of experience in a related security field required.

Complete MOAB training during 1st year of employment.

Florida Security Licenses D, G and a CCW Permit are preferred and will be required within 180 days of employment.

Pass psychological evaluation qualification.

Skills:

Strong problem solving, communication abilities required.

Ability to work in a high pressure, goal-oriented team environment required.

Must be detail oriented with the ability to handle multiple tasks at a time.

Ability to communicate issues and problem solve effectively with team members, employees, customers, and contractors.

Working knowledge of law enforcement/military principles or 4 years of similar/transferable experience required.

Experience with card access, video surveillance systems, alarm monitoring preferred.

Drug Free Workplace Screening: Employees in safety sensitive positions like corporate security officer are subject to drug and alcohol screening prior to and during employment at Arthrex.

Knowledge:

Limited use and/or application of basic processes, practices, and concepts. Limited knowledge of standards and procedures.

Reasoning Ability:

Solves routine problems of limited scope and complexity following established policies and procedures. Follows chain-of-command.

Discretion/ Latitude:

Work is closely supervised by fellow officers. Follows specific, detailed instructions.
