Sundance Orchids & Bromeliads is a small business in Fort Myers, FL started in 2001. We cater to both retail and wholesale customers and have 5 acres of greenhouses & gardens. We are open 6 days a week, Monday - Saturday, 9am to 4pm each day.
We are seeking a Garden Center Associate for our retail center. This position will be responsible for weeding plants, watering plants, re-potting plants, cashier duties, merchandising, designing, helping customers out to their vehicles.
DUTIES:
Use of cash register and credit card machine
Answer phone
Professionally interact with customers at our retail garden center
Carry out regular watering by hand watering and irrigation system
Inspect plants daily for growth and health needs.
Loading and unloading plants & supplies deliveries
Assist supervisors in daily activities for the nursery
Helping customers out to their cars
Repot all kinds of plants for nursery & customers
Creating Orchid Arrangements
Performing miscellaneous jobs
Skills:
Basic knowledge of plants
Landscaping and retail sales experience highly desired
Flexibility to work Saturdays
Strong customer service skills
Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
Must be able and willing to work in extreme temperatures
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
