Position: Remote Part-Time Paralegal

Location: Florida

Work Hours: 1 day per week (Flexible schedule)

William M. Powell, Esq., (Powell Law Offices, P.A. Your Advocates, Powell, Jackmen & Ricciardi) represents clients in medical malpractice, nursing home and personal injury cases. The ideal candidate will have a background in these matters, and understand e-filing and managing discovery processes, setting depositions and drafting discovery documents.

Key Responsibilities:

E-Filing of Documents.

Discovery Management: Coordinate the discovery process, including the collection, review, scheduling and exchange of pertinent information and documents with opposing parties.

Depositions: Schedule and organize depositions, including coordinating with all relevant parties, preparing deposition notices, and ensuring the availability of necessary materials and witnesses.

Drafting Subpoenas: Draft and manage subpoenas for the procurement of essential documents and testimony in support of case preparation.

Case Management: Assist in case preparation by organizing case files, maintaining document control systems, and tracking deadlines.

Client Interaction: Communicate with clients to gather and convey information, providing updates on case progress as needed.

Qualifications: Paralegal certificate or experience in paralegal work.

Minimum of 2 years of experience as a paralegal, with a focus on personal injury law.

Understanding of legal procedures and documentation, especially in the context of medical malpractice, nursing home and personal injury cases.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
