PART TIME Assistant Delivery Manager
-This is a part time entry level role that starts at $16 an hour. When delivering or verifying newspapers, you receive .62 for every mile you drive including your hourly wage. You use your own vehicle for these duties
-Generally works 5 days a week, 25 to 30 hours a week. This role works weekends
-This position works overnight hours and weekends 11:00 m until approximately 5:00 am
-We provide on the job training so you can be successful with your new career at the News-Press.
This opportunity is responsible for delivering newspapers to homes (we provide a turn by turn list) not currently under contract, working with current contractors on improving service metrics and assisting with any questions or concerns contractors may have. This is a driving role. Candidates must have a reliable car and be willing to learn how to deliver newspapers. Deliveries can take place anywhere in Lee County. AGAIN, IF YOU ARE NOT COMFORTABLE LEARNING HOW TO DELIVER NEWSPAPERS (WE WILL TRAIN YOU) AT NIGHT USING YOUR OWN CAR THEN THIS OPPORUNTIY IS NOT FOR YOU.
This role is vital to ensure our customers receive correct and timely delivery of the products they have purchased. The ideal candidate will be comfortable navigating and delivering products anywhere throughout Lee County. This opportunity is not solely office related, you will spend most of your time in the field delivering newspapers, assisting contractors and verifying product.
Assistant Delivery Managers will be teamed with a District Manager to learn the beginning steps of how to become a District Manager. This training will include becoming familiar with the warehouse operation, email, paperwork, site specific applications and software.
Assistant Delivery Managers will learn how to set up and run the distribution center, load and unload trailers, stack out carrier product for delivery and assist in all other areas as needed.
Qualified candidates will be able to work 3rd shift hours with weekends required and Holidays as needed.
