Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Groundskeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and aesthetic appeal of our outdoor spaces. This includes performing general landscaping, lawn care, snow removal (seasonal), and other grounds maintenance duties. Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and care for outdoor areas, including lawns, gardens, flowerbeds, and walkways.
Perform routine landscaping tasks such as mowing, trimming, edging, and planting.
Ensure proper maintenance and upkeep of trees, shrubs, and other greenery.
Monitor and report any damages, hazards, or issues with the grounds and facilities.
Assist with snow removal during winter months, including salting walkways and parking lots.
Maintain outdoor equipment and tools in good working order.
Water plants, apply fertilizers, and perform pest control as needed.
Maintain cleanliness of grounds, including picking up debris and litter.
Ensure safety protocols are followed when operating machinery and working in outdoor environments.
Work closely with the Facilities Supervisor to ensure all areas meet aesthetic and safety standards.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
5+ Years previous experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or a related field is preferred.
Basic knowledge of landscaping tools and equipment.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and ability to perform physical labor.
Ability to work in all weather conditions.
Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
Valid driver's license (if required for transporting equipment or working across multiple locations).
Must speak fluent English.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift heavy things.
Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and bending.
Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
