Bluewater of South Florida is looking for an experienced Lead Pipe Layer to join our underground utility team. We are seeking someone with proven skill installing water mains, sanitary sewer, and storm drainage systems who can work safely, efficiently, and lead a crew in the field.
Responsibilities Include:
Laying and installing water, sewer, and storm pipe with accuracy and attention to grade
Reading and interpreting utility layouts
Directing and assisting crew members during trenching, bedding, installation, and backfill
Installing structures such as manholes, valves, fittings, catch basins, hydrants, and service connections
Ensuring work is completed safely and according to plans, specifications, and company standards
Communicating with the foreman regarding progress, issues, and material needs
Maintaining a clean and safe work environment, following all OSHA and trench safety requirements
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience installing underground utilities (water, sewer, storm)
Ability to set and check grade accurately
Strong understanding of trench safety and underground utility practices
Ability to work effectively with a crew
Physically able to work outdoors in Florida weather conditions
Reliable transportation and a strong work ethic
