We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced podiatry office. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team. Pay range based on skill set and will be graduated once a 90 day probationary period is completed.

$16.00-22.00 per hour - Discussion regarding a salaried position possible - Open to negotiation based on skill set and performance. We are very driven by success within our team as we are a collaborative group and the environment is positive with an outstanding patient base.

We prefer someone that can grow with us and commit long term but are willing to consider part-time help as well and semi-retired applicants are accepted as well. We have a strong commitment to our patients and to each other in our office environment. You can be more hands on as you learn with us.

Hours are very reasonable with an hour lunch half of which is paid. Fridays we end early. 8 am to 5pm is our longest day. No weekend work is required. Opportunities for additional hours available.

Responsibilities:

Greet patients and prepare them for exams

Take medical histories and be friendly with interactions

Assist podiatrists with exams, procedures, and surgeries

Prepare and apply dressings and bandages

Prepare specimens for pathology reports

Manage patient flow and maintain a clean and efficient work environment

Update patient records and communicate with insurance companies

Assist with front desk duties as needed

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required

Completion of a medical assisting program or equivalent experience

Certification (CMA, RMA, or MA) preferred not required

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification a plus

1-2 years of experience in a medical office setting preferred

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMRs) and technology

More than anything be willing to learn
