Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Licensed Health Insurance Agent to join our growing team in Port Charlotte, FL. The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping clients understand and select the best health insurance plans for their unique needs, including Medicare, ACA plans, and other individual/group health coverage options. This role involves educating clients, building rapport, and providing ongoing support to ensure their continued satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Consultation: Conduct thorough needs assessments with prospective and existing clients to understand their health insurance requirements, financial situations, and preferences.

Product Knowledge: Possess in-depth knowledge of various health insurance plans, including Medicare (Parts A, B, C, D), Affordable Care Act (ACA) plans, short-term health insurance, dental, vision, and other supplemental health products.

Policy Presentation & Sales: Clearly and accurately explain policy features, benefits, limitations, and costs to clients, helping them compare options and make informed decisions. Present and sell appropriate health insurance policies to achieve sales targets.

Compliance & Licensing: Ensure all sales and client interactions adhere to state and federal insurance regulations, ethical standards, and company policies. Maintain an active Florida Health, Life & Annuity (2-15) license and complete all required continuing education.

Relationship Management: Build and nurture strong, long-term relationships with clients through excellent customer service, proactive communication, and follow-up.

Lead Generation: Actively seek out and develop new client leads through referrals, networking, community engagement, and other sales strategies.

Documentation & Administration: Accurately complete applications, gather necessary documentation, and maintain meticulous client records in our CRM system.

Claims Assistance: Provide guidance and support to clients during the claims process, helping to resolve any issues or inquiries.

Market Awareness: Stay up-to-date with changes in the health insurance industry, new products, and relevant legislation.

Qualifications:

Active Florida 2-15 (Health, Life & Annuity) Insurance License is required.

Proven experience as a Health Insurance Agent or in a similar sales/client-facing role.

Strong understanding of Medicare, ACA, and other individual/group health insurance markets.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

Exceptional listening skills and the ability to empathize with client needs.

Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities.

Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and a results-driven mindset.

Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.

Must be able to pass a background check.
