Your Specific Responsibilities: The Operations Analyst I position performs various clerical function activities for Community Health and Risk Management. Performs clerical functions at other locations as needed. Participates in clinic events that may require clerical personnel on evenings, weekends, and during regular business hours. This position has access to applicable information required to perform the job. This position is classified as a sensitive position. Incumbent handles protected health information on a need to know basis following Department of Health and Information Security Policies, Protocols, and Procedures. HMS EARs/DARS Liaison for DOH- Lee.
Monitors CSR EARs and DARs for compliance.
Provides EARs and DARs training for new employees.
Creates and presents by-weekly HMS Training to new and existing staff on HMS EARS, and EARs Certification.
Creates and presents HMS Registration training to avoiding creation of duplicates in HMS and Florida Shots.
Performs HMS and Florida Shots Duplicates resolution.
Enters services for School Health Program with nursing staff.
Assists Health Information Management Department with records management.
Files documents in electronic filing system for retention.
Billing
Creates and presents by-weekly HMS/Billing Portal Training to new and existing cashiers.
Provides ICD10 and CPT coding training
Continuous quality improvement for billing including but not limited to daily billing audits; provider reports (coding errors, documentation issues, etc.) and provides feedback on findings to Management.
Collaborates with Management to resolve billing problems
Performs other duties as assigned by management.
Process and post all payments receive by phone or mail from clients
Performs insurance verification and training.
Assists Billing Operations Analysts I as needed.
Clinic Support
Serves as a backup for entering Healthy Start Prenatal and Postnatal screenings in system.
Assists doctors’ offices, hospitals, and other agencies with Healthy Start screening requests and questions.
Sorts and distributes incoming mail to appropriate department.
Files, makes copies, and prepares packets.
Miscellaneous Duties
Assists Community Health and Billing departments with projects as needed.
Receive deliveries from vendors at Michigan. Organize and notify departments of the arrival of supplies.
Assists county maintenance in the absence of the facility personnel.
Escorts shredding company throughout DOH Lee facility.
