Beach & Patio Furniture is looking for the right hard-working individual to deliver and set-up customer orders. Experience with patio furniture repair including strapping, slinging and general repair is a plus.
Delivery and Pick-up Essential Expectations, Duties and Responsibilities
In charge of all phases of delivery and pick-up operations.
Must be handy and able to assemble furniture.
Be able to collect balances due on furniture delivery using iPhone.
Calls Office Manager after completing each delivery. Contacts customers prior to arriving; contacts customer if changes in delivery time occur
Must communicate with the Office Manager after coming back from each delivery with notes on as to how the delivery went. Also, if there were any items not detailed in the scheduled delivery.
Must be polite and careful when making deliveries at customer’s homes.
Unloading trucks, putting furniture in the warehouse, pulling furniture for deliveries, and keeping all the items secured and free from damage, and verify load for accuracy. Unwrap, inspect and touch up all merchandise before loading for delivery.
Excellent hygiene is required as you are representing Beach & Patio. Must wear clean neat clothes daily and maintain personal appearance. We will provide company shirts for deliveries
Delivery Requirements
Driver must have a minimum of 2 years driving a 17’ to 26’ Box Truck, or have a Class A, B, or CDL license with a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
Ability to pass a background check
Must be able to do basic, ongoing maintenance to the delivery truck
Must be able to read maps and follow oral and written instructions. Must maintain a good driving record
Ability to lift and move products from 50lbs and up
Must be computer friendly, must be able to write, speak and communicate in English.
Will typically drive alone unless the job and load requires multiple team members
Person must be reliable, hard-working, courteous, and polite and on time all the time
Must have a smartphone and be computer knowledgeable
Completes assigned tasks including; reports and paperwork in a timely and accurate manner
