Job Description
We are currently seeking service plumbers who are dedicated with a passion for solving problems, keeping things flowing, enthusiastic about the plumbing trade, and who would like to stay and grow with a good company. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating the ability to manage their role efficiently with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
Explaining technical issues and repair options to customers, dispatch, or management in clear and concise English language. Actively listening to their concerns and addressing them with empathy and professionalism
Installing, repairing, and maintaining pipes, fixtures, and appliances like dishwashers or washing machines. Maintaining and repairing existing plumbing systems, including water supply lines, drain lines, and toilets
Arriving on time at appointments and completing work within estimated timeframes. Keeping customers, dispatch, or management informed of progress and any unforeseen delays
Diagnosing and troubleshooting plumbing problems like leaks, clogs, or low water pressure. Repairing or replacing faulty components to restore proper functioning
Understanding and adhering to safety regulations and building codes specific to plumbing systems. Ensuring installations and repairs meet all safety standards
Maintaining a clean and professional appearance and work area, respecting customers' property, and demonstrating a positive attitude throughout the job
Finding leaks for customers who have high water bills and can't locate where the leak or problem is coming from
Collaborating with other tradespeople like electricians and carpenters
Generating and managing estimates for services rendered
Available to work on weekends and after 5 pm
Overnight stays dependent on the project
Providing excellent customer service
Qualifications
Adapting to different situations and using available tools and materials to fix problems efficiently. MacGyvering a solution with unexpected materials is sometimes part of the job
Proficient in English both written and spoken. Comprehension of written and verbal instructions in English is essential. Bilingual is a plus, but not required (Eng/Span)
Analyzing complex plumbing issues and identifying the root cause of problems. Thinking creatively to find effective solutions, especially in emergencies
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience out in the field, in a fast-paced setting, preferably in the building or construction industry
Making quick and informed decisions on the job, often under pressure, to minimize damage and inconvenience to customers
Working with blueprints and building codes to install plumbing systems in new homes and buildings is a plus but not required
Basic knowledge of computers, Microsoft Office, Google Mail, and the ability to Work from a Tablet
Good math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
Building or construction industry experience is helpful but not necessary
Reliable work truck and complete inventory of tools for the trade
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in leak detection
Valid driver’s license and work truck insurance required
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
High school diploma or equivalent
Strong problem-solving skills

Compensation and Schedule
Pay: Compensation is biweekly
Schedule: Flexible schedule. On rotation with other plumbers
Job Type: Full-time, W-9 Independent Contractor Status, You will be your own entity, Your own general liability insurance is required, and workers’ compensation or exemption is required as well
Work Location
In person at the project location
Occasional visits to the office located in Miami Beach in the 41st Street area

Experience
Multi-tasker that works well under pressure
Construction Experience: Preferred but not necessary
Plumbing experience out in the field: Minimum of 5 years required
Leak detection experience out in the field: Minimum of 5 years required
Language
